Dan Lanzano
President, National Advertising Sales
Dan Lanzano was named Nexstar’s President of National Advertising Sales in July 2025. He is responsible for leading all aspects of Nexstar’s national advertising efforts, including the sales teams representing network assets across CW Sports, CW Entertainment, and CW Digital; NewsNation and NewsNationNow.com; Nexstar’s multicast networks, Antenna TV, and Rewind TV; and the company’s political and national spot advertising. Mr. Lanzano also oversees Nexstar’s research operations, its national network monetization, and paid and direct response advertising departments.
Mr. Lanzano joined Nexstar in February 2024 as Senior Vice President of National Advertising Sales and has a proven track record of growing advertising revenue, increasing market share, forging strategic client relationships, and building new business alliances. During his time at Nexstar, Mr. Lanzano and his team have overseen the upfront and scatter marketplaces for Nexstar’s networks division while developing a robust sales strategy for CW Sports, managing media and sponsorship revenue, go-to-market planning, sales packaging, and analysis of sports rights acquisitions.
Throughout his nearly 20-year career, Mr. Lanzano successfully built deep agency and client partnerships for both core advertising channels and emerging media platforms and products. From 2012 to 2024, Mr. Lanzano served in various sales management leadership roles, including the last 6 years as Vice President of Advertising Sales for Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD). In that capacity he was responsible for the company’s monetization efforts across its entire portfolio of media properties, including entertainment, lifestyle, sports, news, and MAX Streaming/Digital assets. Prior to his tenure at WBD, Mr. Lanzano held several advertising sales positions of increasing responsibility at Turner/Warner Media.
